HOW MUCH DO I NEED?
Velven wraps are available in two widths — 60 cm and 120 cm. Choosing the size closest to your surface helps reduce joins, preserve the natural flow of the grain, and make installation seamless and efficient.
Allow a gentle margin of around 3 to 5 cm on each side. This extra space gives room to trim, refine, and achieve clean, confident edges. For larger or more detailed projects, a little more overhang can make the process smoother and ensure a professional finish.

How Will It Look in My Space?
Every space carries its own light, rhythm, and character. We carefully capture each wrap colour & texture as true to eye as we can however, please note that colours may appear differently across various screens and devices.
Lighting will also affect how colours appear in your home. If you are deciding between finishes, we recommend ordering A4 sample packs and place it where it will live. But don’t worry, we know you will love all our gorgeous wraps!

How easy is it to install?
Velven was created with DIYers in mind. Its pressure-sensitive backing allows you to adjust and reposition as you go, giving you the freedom to refine each step without worry.
Every wrap is engineered to the ideal balance — flexible enough to contour around curves and edges, yet strong enough to resist tearing or warping. No special skills required, just a steady hand and a little patience.
Can I remove it later?
- Velven can be removed cleanly from most sealed surfaces. If you’re working on a delicate finish, we recommend testing a small area first.
Is it sustainable?
Most kitchen joinery in Australia is made from MDF or particle board — materials engineered from wood fibres bonded with resins. While strong and versatile, these composites are difficult to recycle.
At the end of their life, most are sent to landfill. The resin content prevents the fibres from being separated and reused, and local recycling options remain limited.
By resurfacing existing cabinetry instead of replacing it, Velven helps extend the life of these materials and reduce the volume of waste that would otherwise end up in landfill.
What tools do I need to install it?
You can start with tools you already have at home, like scissors, a sharp craft knife, and a hairdryer.
For BEST RESULTS, we recommend Velven vinyl wrap tool kit specialised for optimum performance. Precision trim knife has a SK2 high carbon steel blade which is harder, finer and sharper than standard utility blades (less pressure, less dragging = cleaner results!). Velven felt edge squeegee helps evenly smooth velven wraps onto surfaces reducing scratches, bubbles and pressure marks.
We recommend a steel ruler for straight cuts and hairdryer or heat gun on low to help soften and stretch around edges as you work.
How do i clean it?
Clean with a soft cloth or sponge using mild soap and water. Avoid harsh abrasives or solvents to preserve the surface’s finish.
