Velven started from a simple frustration. So many of us live in places we cannot renovate. Rentals with tired cabinets. First homes with a kitchen we cannot afford to replace yet. Hand me down furniture that works fine but looks a little sad.
You do not always need a renovation. Often you just need to change the one surface you look at every day.
What we make
Velven is an architectural finish you apply yourself. You peel it, you stick it, you smooth it down, and a flat cabinet door becomes warm walnut, a dated vanity becomes soft stone, an old dresser becomes something you would actually buy. It looks like the real material, not like a sticker.
It is made to be forgiving. Reposition it while you work. When you are ready for a change, it lifts cleanly from a well painted surface and leaves no residue.
Start small, then go bigger
The smartest way to begin is the sample box. Six finishes in your hands, on your own surfaces, in your own light, for less than the cost of lunch out. See it before you commit to the whole project.
From there, most people do one surface, love it, and quietly move on to the next. The cabinets lead to the benchtop. The benchtop leads to the old dresser. That is the fun part.
