The method
How a wall goes up.
Think of your wall vinyl wrap as a series of manageable panels rather than one giant sheet. Measure your space, allow for extra, and move through the room at a steady pace.
One panel at a time
Cut your drop a few centimetres longer than the wall height. Peel back a small amount of the backing and work from the top down using a squeegee. This peel and stick wall covering stays manageable because you only deal with a small area of adhesive at a time.
Overlap and double cut
Overlap each new panel slightly over the edge of the last. Slice through both layers in one clean motion, remove the excess, and the edges will meet perfectly. This creates a subtle hairline seam that appears as one continuous surface.
Switches and skirting
Turn off your power to safely remove switch and outlet covers. Wrap the film behind them for a professional finish. At the skirting and cornice, press the film firmly into the corner and use a fresh blade to trim a crisp edge.
