Velven ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Order & contact details — your name, email, shipping and billing address, and phone number when you order or contact us.
- Payment information — processed securely by Shopify Payments and our payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
- Usage data — pages visited and device/browser information, collected via cookies and analytics to improve the store.
How we use it
- To process and ship your orders and provide customer support.
- To send order and shipping confirmations.
- To send marketing emails where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe any time).
- To operate, secure, and improve our website.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to run the store — Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, and shipping carriers. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for cart functionality, analytics, and (with consent) marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Analytics and Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity and other analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website and improve the shopping experience. These tools may collect information about how you interact with our site, such as pages visited, clicks, scrolls, device and browser information, and approximate usage patterns, using cookies and similar technologies.
Microsoft Clarity can produce heatmaps and session recordings. We use privacy masking for customer-entered information and sensitive areas such as forms, account pages, cart notes, checkout-related fields and payment-related surfaces. We may allow non-sensitive public storefront content, such as product names, product imagery, collection content, pricing and general page copy, to appear in analytics so we can understand what shoppers view and improve the store experience.
We do not intend to use Clarity to capture payment card details, checkout payment information, passwords, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or other customer-entered personal information.
Microsoft may process this data in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Retention & security
We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We take reasonable steps to protect it.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and opt out of marketing at any time. To make a request or raise a concern, contact us. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
