Do I need specialist tools?
No. You can start with scissors, a sharp knife and a hairdryer. These tools just make the job cleaner, especially around edges, corners and joins.
What matters most for a clean finish?
Use a sharp blade, press from the centre out, and warm the film gently as it turns an edge. A felt edge applicator helps press the film down without marking the surface.
Can I buy the tools separately?
Yes. The kit is the simplest setup, but the knife, blades and felt edge squeegee can also be bought separately.
