What this notice covers
This notice explains how Velven handles personal information when you apply to or participate in the Velven Affiliate Program. It supplements, and does not replace, GoAffPro's privacy notice for the services it provides.
Who handles the information
The program operator is Velven, ABN 63 506 293 664. Contact contact@velven.com.au about this notice or a privacy request.
Velven uses GoAffPro as a service provider to operate the program. GoAffPro may process information under its own privacy notice and may use service providers outside Australia.
Information we may collect and use
When you apply or participate, Velven and GoAffPro may process your:
- name, email address and account details;
- approved website, social channel, audience and promotional information;
- affiliate links, coupon codes, referral events and attribution information;
- device, browser, cookie and similar permitted identifier information;
- referred order and commission information; and
- PayPal and other payment details needed to pay validated commissions.
We use this information to review applications, administer participation, provide links and codes, attribute eligible orders, calculate and validate commissions, make payments, detect misuse, respond to enquiries, maintain business records and comply with legal obligations.
Referral and customer information
Affiliate reporting is for program administration. Affiliates must not try to identify individual Velven customers from reporting. Velven will not provide affiliates with customer information beyond what is needed to administer the program.
Cookies and attribution
Affiliate links use cookies and other permitted identifiers for a 30 day last click attribution period. Customers may block or clear cookies, use a different device or browser, or otherwise prevent attribution. The program does not use an affiliate's access to identify a customer.
Disclosure and overseas processing
Velven may share relevant information with GoAffPro, PayPal, technology providers, professional advisers and authorities where required or permitted by law. GoAffPro and its service providers may process information outside Australia. Review GoAffPro's privacy notice for its own handling practices, retention and international transfers.
Retention and security
Velven retains affiliate program records for as long as reasonably needed to administer the program, prevent fraud and misuse, reconcile payments, meet accounting and legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect its rights. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Your privacy questions and requests
Contact contact@velven.com.au to request access to or correction of your information, ask a question, or raise a privacy concern. We will handle the request under applicable privacy law. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our response.
Updates
We may update this notice when the program, our providers or applicable law changes. The current version will identify its effective date.
